December 2012
Our Sweet Family: December was a busy, busy month for all of us! But the magic of Christmas was felt dearly in our home with our sweet little children. We especially enjoyed the 12 Days of Christmas from Grandpa and Grandma Frehner, Like most of us, looking at the Christmas lights on the trees, and having Thomas the Elf over at our house on "special duty" to make sure we are all behaving! Oh. And the cards and Newsletters were our favorites too! We love this time of year!
John: I REALLY appreciate the husband and father you are to me and our family. You have been placed in many difficult circumstances, but you have stood firm on your two feet and battled the storms with your testimony. I really appreciate that. ...You got free tickets to the UVU Homecoming Basketball game. That was so fun to go as a family! You helped Gavin with his huge Train Homework assignment and you are a rock star! My brother Tony said you should have been an engineer, because you were building places in the plane for head lights and horns. We were all really impressed! You really looked forward to your two week vacation. We also had a Christmas Dinner with the ward and had Polynesian dancing and singing. We really enjoyed the entertainment.
Lindsey: I REALLY love my family and the gospel. I am thankful for Jesus Christ and his loving comfort that has gotten me through some really hard times. ...I went to a Janice Kapp Perry program with Kaydee, Jessica and met Erin there. I just love Janice, she has composed many of the LDS Primary songs--the songs that I learned as a child. I also hosted BUNCO and it was so much fun, but I'm a little relieved it's over. I spent a lot of time on our new felt stockings, and I am so happy with them. ...I guess it's a family tradition on my mom's side. My great grandma would make felt stockings for all the grand kids, and then my mom made me one. So I wanted to make one each for our family members. We even included Thomas our elf, because the kids say he's a part of our family!
Gavin: I REALLY enjoyed watching you during your school Christmas program and walking through the hallway for Polar Express Day. You even sang a few Christmas songs at church. You knew all the words and you smiled so big--and it made me so proud of you! You are excelling in school and learning how to read and write so well; I am so impressed with how quickly you are picking up on everything you are required to learn at school.
Maddie: I REALLY enjoyed watching you interacting with Thomas the Elf this year. You would sing songs to him, write letters and stick them in his stocking, and telling him about your day. You made sure throughout the day that he was still in his little spot every day so he could watch you and make sure you were doing good! You are also doing fabulous in school! You love it so much.
Hudson: I REALLY enjoy watching your progression. You are learning at such a steady pace, and I feel like Miss Stacy and VIP Preschool is really what you need right now. You are discovering the world around you and you make it a better place to live in. Right now you and Gavin LOVE playing the Wii. You are still our little adventurer. You love trying new things and you are usually the first one to try something out.
Suzi: I REALLY enjoy watching you say your prayers! You think every time it's time to say a prayer-it's your turn. So you will fold your arms and close your eyes and just start praying. {Even if we asked someone else}. You know exactly what to do, and they are the sweetest prayers my ears have ever heard. You loved Santa this year and listened to everything he had to say. He must have looked like another "grandpa" or maybe you noticed that everyone else got a See's sucker. Nevertheless, you are such a big girl and imitating everything everyone else is doing.
